Bayern Munich officials defended the team's forward Michael Oliseh after he sparked controversy this week following a post-match interview in which he provided very brief answers, often consisting of just a few words.

Max Eberl, a member of the Bayern Munich board for sports affairs, said: "Michael Oliseh is a player who wants to play football, and what happens off the pitch is not his strong point. This has received a lot of media attention, but he also receives similar praise on other platforms for his behavior, and what matters most to us is that he shows his skills on the pitch."

Eberl added during a press conference: "Children and teenagers may be able to empathize with that more than we can."

After a big win against Norway's Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Champions League on Thursday, Oliseh was named Man of the Match and appeared in an interview with DAZN.

When asked how he felt after scoring a brilliant goal, Oliseh responded in a way some considered "provocative," saying: "I don't know."

The reporter then asked him how such moments happen, to which the French player replied: "I shoot the ball, either it goes in or it doesn't."

After several more short answers, the reporter ended the one-minute interview, and several journalists criticized Oliseh for his lack of respect and perceived arrogance.
