The Democratic Republic of Congo's women's national team, Les Léopards Dames, is currently trailing at halftime against Ivory Coast (1-2) this Friday at the TP Mazembe Stadium in Lubumbashi, during the first leg of the second round of the qualifiers for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

The Elephants started the match strongly, taking the lead in the 4th minute with a penalty converted by Sery Grace Ruth, following a foul on captain Rebecca Elloh in the box. Despite this difficult start, the Congolese responded ten minutes later with an equalizer from Soulac, who scored with a long-range shot in the 15th minute.

The joy for the Congolese camp was short-lived, as the Ivorians regained the lead in the 20th minute with a second goal from Sery Grace Ruth, completing her brace. Both teams left the field at halftime with the score favoring the visitors, leaving the second half open for a potential comeback from the Congolese.
