Achraf Hakimi shone tonight for PSG, scoring a hat-trick and providing two assists.
Coach Luis Enrique opted to rest several key players against bottom-placed Le Havre. Désiré Doué, Fabián Ruiz, Vitinha, and João Neves, among others, watched the match from the bench at Stade Océane. Hakimi, on the other hand, was on the field as a starter and captain, joined by Mika Godts, Senny Mayulu, and Ferran Torres in attack.
The home team, which started the season on a rather negative note, surprised everyone by taking the lead after eighteen minutes through Josh Maja, but they couldn't hold onto their advantage for long. After the score of 1-0, PSG took control of the match and turned the tide to lead 2-1 just two minutes later.
Godts equalized with an assist from Hakimi, marking his second consecutive goal. In Monday's match against Olympique Lyonnais, he had already been pivotal by scoring the decisive goal at Le Havre.
The Moroccan defender continued his momentum into the second half. In the 55th minute, he scored to make it 3-1 from a free kick. Shortly after, Mayulu extended the lead to 4-1. Hakimi completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute.
Set up by Godts, his first shot was saved by Le Havre's goalkeeper, Arnaud Bodart, but he recovered the ball to score. This was the first hat-trick of his career: 5-1.
