Al Ahly concludes the summit phase and begins preparations for the match against Kitar in the Confederation Cup.

The coaching staff of Al Ahly, led by Hussein Ammouta, has shifted its focus from the Egyptian league following the match against Zamalek in the sixth round on Sunday, and has begun preparations for continental competitions. The team will kick off its CAF Confederation Cup campaign with a clash against Ugandan side Kitarra in the first leg of the Round of 32.

Al Ahly Prepares to Face Kitarra After Zamalek Match in League

The first leg is scheduled to take place at 4 PM next Saturday at the Huima City Stadium in Uganda, while Al Ahly will host the return leg in Cairo on October 25, aiming to qualify for the next stage and continue competing for the continental title.

The Al Ahly board has appointed Sayed Abdel Hafiz, a council member, to lead the team’s delegation to Uganda next Wednesday. Abdel Hafiz has coordinated with Wael Gomaa, the football director, to organize travel, accommodation, transportation, and training facilities, ensuring a suitable environment for the players and coaching staff ahead of the anticipated match.

Ammouta Plans to Correct Mistakes Before African Competitions Begin

Ammouta aims to utilize the upcoming training sessions to correct the mistakes made by the players during the summit match against Zamalek, focusing on addressing technical shortcomings, whether in defensive organization or capitalizing on offensive opportunities, before facing the team’s first African test of the season.

The coaching staff seeks to prepare the players physically and technically for the match, especially since playing away requires a high level of focus and discipline to avoid conceding goals that could complicate Al Ahly's task in the return match in Cairo.
