The coaching staff of Al Ahly's first football team has decided to promote the duo of Mohannad Al-Shami, a left-back from the U-2007 youth team, and his teammate defender Iyad Medhat, to participate in the first team's training sessions in the upcoming period, following their return from the Egypt U-20 national team camp.

This decision to promote the duo is part of the club's strategy to benefit from young talents and give them the opportunity to train and gain experience with the first team, especially considering the performances both players have been delivering with the youth team recently. Al Ahly aims to fill gaps on the left flank with Mohannad Al-Shami, while Iyad Medhat contributes to strengthening the defense.
Mohannad Al-Shami and Iyad Medhat are expected to join Al Ahly's training sessions after completing their participation with the Egypt U-20 national team, which is currently competing in the North African qualifiers for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
