Algeria: Concerns about Chaïbi ahead of the call-up.

As the Algeria national team gathers, Farès Chaïbi will not be present with Eintracht Frankfurt. This absence raises concerns, especially after his recent weeks marked by physical difficulties.
A slight worry surrounds the Algeria team ahead of the September camp. Farès Chaïbi is not included in the Eintracht Frankfurt squad for the match against Freiburg this Saturday, despite being selected by Brahim Hemdani for his first list with the Greens.
The reason appears to be more related to his physical condition than a new injury. Chaïbi had recently suffered from an infection, which prevented him from participating in the trip to Mainz. Returning to team training at the beginning of the week, the Algerian then completed an individual session on Thursday. Adi Hütter clarified that this management was due to the heavy workload in the previous days.
German media reported again on Wednesday that Chaïbi was fit to play. His absence for the match against Freiburg seems to be a precaution after his illness and a fitness level deemed insufficient to resume competition immediately. No new serious physical issues have been reported so far.
This situation will certainly be monitored by the Algerian staff before the camp. Chaïbi was one of the standout players for the Greens during the 2026 World Cup, alongside Ibrahim Maza. Hemdani is now counting on him to start his new cycle with the national team.
