Ben Yahia Praises His Players and Warns the Youth

Algeria's CR Belouizdad coach, Khaled Ben Yahia, expressed his satisfaction with the performance of his players yesterday, Friday, against the visiting Chabab Ain Temouchent.

The "Doyen" secured a hard-fought victory against the newly promoted team with a single goal in the fourth round of the league.

Ben Yahia confirmed that his team delivered an excellent tactical and technical display for 75 to 80 minutes against a very respectable opponent.

He noted that his players created numerous scoring opportunities, as reflected in the match statistics, adding: “Goalkeeper Ramadan Abdel Latif only touched the ball once or twice.”

He then added in a post-match press conference: “When did we start to feel a bit anxious? After we scored the goal, the young players do not realize the pressure and think that football is easy... We fell into the trap of complacency.”

The Tunisian coach concluded by criticizing the performance of the youth: “One of them attempted an unnecessary skill move, while another wasted chances due to technical errors, which worried me the most in the final minutes. Otherwise, the players delivered a strong match against a very respectable opponent.”
