Benrahma Announces Return from Injury with a Goal
Algerian international Saïd Benrahma made his return to competitive action last night with his club, Neom FC, after nearly two months out due to injury.
The "Greens" player made a notable comeback, coming on as a substitute at the start of the second half while his team was trailing 1-0 against hosts Al Hazm, managed by fellow Algerian international Amir Sayoud.
Benrahma needed just 9 minutes to make his mark in the match, which was part of the eighth round of the Roshn League, scoring the equalizer for Neom, resulting in a 1-1 draw.
The former West Ham star received a rating of 7.4 from the statistics site SofaScore, ranking fourth in terms of the highest ratings in Neom FC. He was also named Man of the Match by the Saudi Professional League.
It is worth noting that Benrahma suffered a muscle injury in the early minutes of the match between Neom and Al Faisaly on August 21, during the second round of the Roshn League.
The "Greens" player had to leave the pitch early, before undergoing treatment and rehabilitation, missing nearly 50 days of competition.
Thanks to his goal yesterday against Al Hazm, Benrahma has now contributed to 4 goals in 4 matches this season.
He has 2 goals and 1 assist in 3 matches in the Roshn League, along with 1 goal in a single cup match.
