Ben Taleb's Absence Raises Questions Again!

Algerian international player, Nabil Ben Taleb, will officially miss tomorrow's match for Lille against Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt in the fourth round of the UEFA Champions League.

David Ancelotti, Lille's head coach, announced on Monday during a press conference that Ben Taleb would be absent for the highly anticipated Champions League match, raising further questions about his ability to join the upcoming national team training sessions.

Meanwhile, the French club's management expressed hope in their latest statement for the player's speedy recovery, so he can be ready to return to competition and play against Rennes, scheduled for next Sunday in the tenth round of Ligue 1.

This absence adds to the concerns of the national team's coaching staff, led by coach Ibrahim Hamdani, amid the possibility of Ben Taleb missing the upcoming matches against Togo in the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations 2027, set for November 14 and 17, especially after an injury prevented him from participating in the September gathering.
