Clubs Association: We await the Football Federation's decision on the domestic Super Cup to set the match schedules for the teams.

A source from the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association revealed that the association is awaiting a final decision from the Egyptian Football Association regarding the organization of the local Super Cup in early November.

The source explained to "Youm7" that if the local Super Cup is postponed, they will consider holding matches for the ninth round of the Egyptian Premier League or the second round of the group stage of the Cairo Cup.

No Change in the Egyptian Super Cup Format

Official sources confirmed to "Youm7" that there is no possibility of changing the current format of the tournament or reverting to the old format that relied on a single match; the four-team format will continue, providing greater competitiveness and wider fan engagement for all matches.

The Current Format of the Egyptian Super Cup

The current format features four main clubs determined by the results of the previous season: Zamalek as the league champion, Pyramids as the Egypt Cup champion, and Al Masry as the League Cup champion, while the fourth team participates based on a formal (golden) invitation, with Al Ahly being the closest to receiving it so far.

Al Ahly, Defending Super Cup Champion

Al Ahly holds the title from last season's Egyptian Super Cup, which took place in the UAE; the "Red Devils" claimed the title after defeating Zamalek 2-0 in the match held in the capital, Abu Dhabi.
