The Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) has re-elected Isayas Jira Bosho as president for a new four-year term.
Bosho, running unopposed, received 81 of the 88 votes cast during the electoral assembly held on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Ababa. First elected in 2018, he begins his third consecutive term, which will end in 2030.
“I thank all the assembly members for their trust. Let us unite our efforts to advance football in Ethiopia,” expressed Jira Bosho.
His re-election illustrates the confidence the assembly members have in him. He has played a key role in strengthening and evolving football in Ethiopia, with a particular focus on the development of the sport and establishing a stronger foundation for the future of national football.
Hassan Suleiman Waberi, president of the Djiboutian Football Federation and a member of FIFA's Council, also attended the electoral assembly.
