European Champions Set Sights on Mazza.. Dembélé Predicts Golden Ball for Him
It seems that Bayer Leverkusen will face significant challenges in keeping their Algerian international player Ibrahim Mazza, who is attracting interest from major clubs across Europe.
Reports emerged last Tuesday indicating that the “Les Verts” player, whose contract with Leverkusen runs until the summer of 2030, has become a top priority for European champions Paris Saint-Germain.
The French newspaper “Onze Mondial” reported, citing German network “Sky Sport,” that PSG is working hard to secure Mazza’s transfer during the upcoming winter transfer window.
Dembélé to Mazza: “The Next Ballon d'Or, God willing”
French star Ousmane Dembélé sent a motivational message to Algerian player Ibrahim Mazza during the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony, where the Bayer Leverkusen player finished ninth in the “Kopa” award for the best young player in the world.
Mazza shared photos from the Ballon d'Or event on his Instagram account, prompting Dembélé to engage with his post after they had a lengthy conversation at the event held at the “London Palladium” in the British capital.
The 2025 Ballon d'Or winner commented on Mazza's post, saying: “The next Ballon d'Or, God willing,” in an encouraging message that reflects Dembélé's appreciation for Mazza's contributions, who is considered one of the rising talents in Europe.
