Khaled Fathi, the president of the Egyptian Handball Federation, expressed his great joy at the victory of the Egypt U-15 team, born in 2008, in the African Championship, after defeating Tunisia in the final match. He emphasized that this new achievement adds to the list of ongoing successes for Egyptian handball at the continental level.

The Egyptian U-15 handball team will arrive in Cairo at 12:30 PM on Wednesday after being crowned champions of Africa by defeating their Tunisian counterparts 28-25 in the final.

Fathi confirmed that the 2008 team deserved the African title, thanks to their impressive performance throughout the tournament and their strong technical and physical display, affirming that the young Egyptians rightfully claimed the top spot on the continent.

The handball federation president noted that this new achievement reflects Egypt's continued dominance in African championships across various stages and categories, whether for men, women, or youth, pointing out that the Egyptian U-17 team, born in 2006, also recently won the African Championship and qualified for the World Championship.

Fathi stated, "The 2008 team represents the future of Egyptian handball, comprising a distinguished group of players with the technical and physical abilities to continue the path of achievements. We hope they will play a role with the senior national team in the coming years."

The handball federation president thanked the coaching staff of the U-15 team, led by Mohamed Ibrahim, praising the efforts made throughout the tournament and confirming that the team has a coaching staff of the highest level, given their extensive experience.

He added, "Egyptian handball is moving in the right direction, and the consecutive achievements of our national teams across various ages and categories confirm the strength of the foundation that Egypt possesses. The federation's board is working hard to provide all the necessary conditions and resources for the teams to continue competing in all continental and global championships."

Fathi stressed that the succession of achievements across different age groups confirms the strength of the Egyptian handball system and its ability to produce new generations that will continue to raise Egypt's flag on the African and global podiums.
