Has Olympique Lyon Talent Chosen to Represent the "Greens"?

The interaction between national women's team player Mélissa Bahi and Olympique Lyon talent Marah Khalis has raised questions about the possibility of him choosing to play for the national team in the future.

Khalis, born in 2007 and a player for the France U20 team, is one of the standout young talents in French football. He is currently in his second season with the first team of Olympique Lyon.

The 19-year-old scored his first goal of the season yesterday, Saturday, during a substitute appearance in a match that ended with his team losing to Lens 2-1 in the sixth round of Ligue 1.

Khalis shared a photo of his celebration after scoring against Lens on his personal Instagram story, where Mélissa Bahi left an intriguing comment saying, "Soon the same thing in an Algeria shirt if."

This comment sparked much speculation about the possibility of the young midfielder representing the "Greens," although it does not confirm his stance on his international future.

The situation did not stop there, as another photo posted by the player from the same match on his Instagram account received notable interaction, with Mélissa Bahi commenting again.

One Algerian follower urged the "Greens" player in her comment to convince Marah Khalis to join the Algerian national team.

Mélissa Bahi replied, "Okay, I'll take care of it," which reinforced the hypothesis that the FAF might be moving to persuade the Olympique Lyon talent to follow in the footsteps of his teammate Kyle Boudach, a player for the U23 "Greens."

Among the indicators that have drawn attention is Khalis following several "Greens" stars on Instagram, such as Ismaël Bennacer, Adil Aouchiche, Ibrahim Maazou, Ramy Bensebaini, Amine Gouiri, and Houssem Aouar, in addition to the official account of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF).

Despite these various signals, they are not enough to conclude that the player has made his international choice. His official position on representing Algeria remains undecided as we await any updates regarding his international future.
