Hossam Hassan calms Mohamed Abdel-Moneim and promises him participation in the match between Egypt and Malawi.
Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egypt national team, is working to calm the feelings of defender Mohamed Abdel-Moneim, who expressed his dissatisfaction over not participating in the match against Angola, according to informed sources.
Reports indicate that Hossam Hassan has promised the player an opportunity to participate in the upcoming match against Malawi, in an effort to ease tensions before the next game.
Mohamed Abdel-Moneim's status in the upcoming Egypt national team camp
Abdel-Moneim had previously declined to play in the match against South Sudan, the last game, due to the match being held on a turf field, as detailed in the reports.
This comes at a time when the player is included in the call-up list, currently playing for Nice in France, and his chances of participating in the match against Malawi are expected to become clearer as the match date approaches.
The Egypt national team, led by Hossam Hassan, will face Malawi on November 13 and 17 in the third and fourth rounds of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The two matches will take place after the start of winter time in Egypt, which begins on Friday, October 30.
Tarek Suleiman, the general coach of the Egypt national team, will lead the Pharaohs' bench in the upcoming match against Malawi in the African qualifiers, following FIFA's decision to suspend head coach Hossam Hassan and his brother, team manager Ibrahim Hassan, for three official matches.
