Iraq hosts the Gulf Cup 28 competitions
The Gulf Football Association decided on Monday to award Iraq the hosting rights for the "Gulf 28" tournament, scheduled for next year.
The executive office also reviewed the latest developments related to the "Gulf Arab Lands 27" tournament, in addition to discussing several upcoming events, including requests to host the next edition of the Gulf Cup "Gulf 28," which has been assigned to Iraq.
The meeting was part of the Gulf Football Association's efforts to enhance coordination with member national federations and continue developing its competition system in line with the aspirations of Gulf football in the upcoming phase.
The decision came after the association held an executive office meeting in the city of Jeddah, chaired by Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, the association's president, with the presence of executive office members.
The meeting discussed the future of Gulf tournaments and the visions and directions aimed at continuing to develop the association's competitions and enhancing their organizational and technical levels.
