After being away from the mats for nearly two years, five-time Olympic judo champion Teddy Riner has renewed his commitment to Paris Saint-Germain until 2028, the club announced on Wednesday, September 16. Riner, who started his career at PSG, rejoined the Parisian club when the judo section was relaunched in 2017. His last appearance with the team was during the 2024 Judo Champions League. Since then, he has not been registered. The 37-year-old Guadeloupean is now tied to the Paris club until the Los Angeles Olympic Games, the final challenge of his career. Still affected by a shoulder injury, Teddy Riner was set to participate in the World Judo Championships next month in Azerbaijan but ultimately had to withdraw.
