Mariska explains the reasons behind Manchester City's decline in performance

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca is looking to correct the individual errors that led to back-to-back defeats in the Premier League, ahead of their clash with RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League, hoping to regain their winning form and recover from a recent dip in domestic performance.

This was followed by serious mistakes from Gianluigi Donnarumma and Marc Guéhi during the 1-2 loss to Aston Villa last week.
Maresca said: "Such things happen sometimes. Unfortunately, they happen with our players, but I believe it's part of the game and football. These mistakes have recurred in our recent matches, specifically in the last two or three."
He added: "We need to analyze what happened and understand the areas we can improve, then strive to overcome that."
The recent defeats have overshadowed Maresca's strong start with Manchester City, who won their first seven league matches this season.
The Italian coach stated: "We are certainly not happy. The players, myself, the coaching staff, and the club, no one is happy at all when we lose matches."
He added: "But we knew we wouldn't win every match, and that's why such moments come. We just have to try to improve things and get through this period, aiming for victories as soon as possible."
Manchester City will head to Germany to face RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
Manchester City suffered their second consecutive loss in the Premier League, falling 1-0 to Brighton at home on Saturday at the Etihad Stadium.
The winning goal from Yassine Ayari came after Matheus Nunes failed to clear a cross, allowing the Brighton player to score.
