Hossam El Shahat, the star of Al Ahly, continued his impressive goal-scoring form this season by netting two goals against Ugandan side Kitarra in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup Round of 32, which ended with Al Ahly winning 4-0 on Sunday evening.
El Shahat has boosted his scoring tally with the Red Devils, becoming one of the key attacking players for Al Ahly, despite limited playing time this season.
Hossam El Shahat Tops Al Ahly Scorers List
El Shahat raised his goal count to 7 for Al Ahly this season, with one goal in the Egyptian Premier League, two in the League Cup, and two in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Ahmed Sayed Zizo follows in second place with 4 goals, ensuring El Shahat remains at the top of the Red Devils' scoring chart.
The surprise is that El Shahat achieved these numbers despite his limited appearances, having played only 79 minutes in 7 matches in the Egyptian Premier League, along with 64 minutes in the League Cup.
In the Confederation Cup, he played 64 minutes in the first leg against Kitarra before starting the second leg and scoring two goals, leaving the pitch in the 59th minute.
These statistics reflect Hossam El Shahat's ability to capitalize on the opportunities presented to him, turning his appearances into effective goal contributions.
