Professional League: Mouloudia Oran Moves Up to Second Place

Union Biskra continued its disappointing run in the Professional League, suffering a home defeat to Mouloudia Oran by a single goal in a match held today, Tuesday, during the fifth round at the Zareb El Oued Stadium, leaving them at the bottom of the table with only two points.

Union Biskra failed to secure its first victory of the season, managing only draws in the first two rounds against Chabab Saoura and NA Hussein Dey, followed by two consecutive losses to Chabab Belouizdad by a goal to nil in the third round, and CR Belouizdad by four goals to none in the fourth round, adding another defeat against the "Hamraoua".

On the other hand, Mouloudia Oran took advantage of their three points to climb to second place with 10 points, achieving their third victory of the season after defeating Chabab Ain Temouchent in the second round and Olympique de Chlef in the third round, along with a draw against ES Sétif in the fourth round, while having a postponed match against Mouloudia Algiers from the first round.

Mouloudia Algiers, meanwhile, settled for a 1-1 draw against their hosts Olympique de Chlef in a match held at the Boumzerak Stadium, temporarily placing them in fourth place with 7 points.

The Mouloudia had won their previous round against Chabab Ain Temouchent by a narrow margin, as well as defeating Mustaqbal El-Rouisat with two goals in the third round, but their setback against Olympique de Chlef prevented them from adding another three points to their tally.

Mouloudia Algiers has two postponed matches, the first against Mouloudia Oran from the first round, and the second against JS Kabylie from the second round, giving them a chance to improve their position in the standings once their schedule is settled.
