Qatar: Bennacer, Brahimi, and Ounas, the powerful Algerian trio of Al-Gharafa, make an impact

Al Gharafa delivered a particularly impressive performance on Thursday night during the Qatar Cup. Facing Mesaimeer in the second round of the QSL Cup, the Qatari club triumphed with a score of 4-2, dominating the first half, notably influenced by the presence of three Algerian internationals.
Starting as key players, Ismaël Bennacer, Yacine Brahimi, and Adam Ounas quickly took control of the match. Bennacer played a crucial role in opening the scoring, providing an assist to his compatriot Brahimi in the 19th minute. Well-positioned, the Algerian did not hesitate to finish and allowed Al Gharafa to take the lead.
Moments later, Brahimi shone again. The former FC Porto player scored his second goal in the 24th minute, confirming his excellent offensive efficiency in this match. This sequence allowed Al Gharafa to build a significant lead before the half-hour mark.
The Algerian show continued in the 34th minute. This time, it was Adam Ounas who scored his team's third goal. Al Gharafa went into the break with a three-goal advantage, supported by a first half in which their Algerian representatives were directly involved in all three goals.
Mesaimeer, however, responded after the break by reducing the deficit twice. The suspense was reignited until Al Gharafa definitively ended their opponent's hopes in stoppage time, thanks to a penalty converted in the 90th+2 minute.
With this victory, Al Gharafa secured their first three points in this competition and climbed to eighth place. Beyond the scoreline, this match allowed Bennacer, Brahimi, and Ounas to leave a strong mark on their team's success.
