Burkina Faso delivered an impressive performance on Thursday at the Stade du 4-Août, defeating Equatorial Guinea 3-1 in the second round of the qualifiers for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

The Women’s Stallions quickly took control with Oriata Konaté scoring in the 7th minute. Judicaël Ouoba then doubled the lead in the 20th minute. Although Muryel Linda reduced the deficit in the 63rd minute, Ouoba netted his second goal in the 72nd minute, allowing Burkina Faso to regain a two-goal advantage.

With this victory, Burkina Faso prepares for the return match with a two-goal lead. The next encounter will take place in Cameroon, as Equatorial Guinea does not have a suitable stadium to host this clash.
