Results of the first round matches of the Cairo Capital Cup
The first round of the Cairo Capital Cup group stage, featuring clubs from the Premier League, has concluded.
The tournament includes 20 clubs representing the competing teams in the Egyptian Premier League for the 2026-2027 season.
The 20 teams are divided into 4 groups, with 5 clubs in each group. Each team plays 4 matches during the group stage, with one team from each group given a bye in each round.
The teams that finish first and second in each group will qualify for the quarter-finals, where the tournament continues in a knockout format until the final match.
The knockout rounds will be played over two legs in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, according to the tournament's approved regulations.

Al Ahly, under the management of Hussein Ammouta, achieved a significant victory over Petrojet, scoring five goals without reply in the match held on Wednesday evening during the first round of the Cairo Capital Cup.
Mohamed Magdy Afsha opened the scoring for Al Ahly in the fourth minute of the match, and Moroccan Sofiane Benjedida doubled the Red Giants' lead with a goal in the 33rd minute, marking his first goal with the team. Hussein El Shahat then added the third and fourth goals in the 58th and 61st minutes, respectively, before Omar Sid Maawad completed the scoring for Al Ahly in the 79th minute.
Al Ahly's Group in the Cairo Capital Cup
Al Ahly is in Group C of the Cairo Capital Cup, alongside Petrojet, El Gouna, Al Sharqia, Enppi, and Al Mokawloon.
Al Ahly will resume its group stage matches against Al Mokawloon on December 2 at Cairo Stadium, followed by a match against Enppi on January 20, 2027, at Al Salam Stadium, and will conclude its campaign against El Gouna on February 15, 2027, at Cairo Stadium.
