The Referees Committee of the Egyptian Football Association has completed its response to Zamalek's appeal against the officiating crew that managed the recent Cairo derby against Al Ahly in the Egyptian Premier League, which ended with Al Ahly winning 2-0.
The committee stated that the Slovenian officiating crew was brought in for the match after several European federations declined to send referees, in addition to elite referees in Europe being tied up with crucial matches in European club competitions.
Regarding Zamalek's request for two penalty kicks during the match, the response clarified that the assessment of these situations relies on the referee's judgment and evaluation during the game, and there are various criteria based on the referee's decisions and convictions.
