The Egypt beach soccer national team began its training camp today, Thursday, in Alexandria under the guidance of coach Ahmed Abdel Razek, with the participation of 20 players. The camp will run from September 17 to 22 as part of the preparations for the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to take place in Senegal, which will also qualify teams for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil.
The team is set to train this evening at the Mustafa Kamel beach, which will include several segments, primarily focusing on improving fitness levels with an emphasis on explosive strength and speed. Additionally, the training will work on developing skills for some players and teaching them various playing strategies that the team will adopt in the upcoming phase.
Coach Ahmed Abdel Razek confirmed that both the coaching staff and players feel a strong confidence in their ability to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations in Senegal, with hopes of reaching the World Cup in Brazil.
Abdel Razek added that commitment and seriousness are the main themes for the current phase of the team ahead of facing the winner of the Angola vs. Mauritius match in early October, home and away, to determine the qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations in November in Senegal.
