CR Belouizdad Delegation Heads to South Africa for Super Cup Final
The CR Belouizdad delegation set off for South Africa on Tuesday evening, preparing to face Mamelodi Sundowns next Sunday in the CAF Super Cup at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, starting at 14:00 Algerian time.
The team is traveling to South Africa early to acclimatize to the match atmosphere and prepare comfortably, as the Algerian representatives aim to secure a new continental title by adding the CAF Super Cup to their trophy cabinet.
The delegation will miss wingers Hossam Gacha and Mohamed Bouderbala due to injury.
CR Belouizdad coach Lamine Ndiaye confirmed that facing Mamelodi Sundowns will be extremely challenging due to the strength of the opponent and the advantage of playing at home in front of their fans.
The Senegalese coach stated in remarks before the team's departure to South Africa that CR Belouizdad has prepared well for this continental event, noting that the players are fully focused following their last training session, and the group will travel with great ambition to bring the trophy back to Algeria.
Ndiaye emphasized that CR Belouizdad is not only representing itself in this final but also carrying the colors of Algeria and representing its fans, adding that finals do not always follow logic and that all possibilities remain open.
The coach also stressed the need for physical strength and mental toughness throughout the match, before expressing his gratitude to the fans for their continuous support for the team, hoping to make them happy with a title win.
