The Football Association opens the door for a new generation in refereeing with tests for referees and reduced fees.

In an effort to strengthen the pool of referees and support the refereeing system in Egypt, the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association, led by Engineer Hani Abu Rida, has decided to conduct promotion tests for current referees, as well as to accept a new batch of candidates wishing to join the refereeing field, with tests set to begin on December 4, 2026.

In a move aimed at supporting applicants and reducing their financial burdens, the board has set a registration fee of 500 EGP for the tests, which includes examination and medical check-up fees. Successful candidates who are accepted as referees under probation will need to pay an amount of 2500 EGP to the association's treasury.

This initiative is supervised by the Referees Committee of the Egyptian Football Association, as part of ongoing efforts to support the refereeing system and provide opportunities for new individuals to join, contributing to the expansion of the refereeing base and preparing capable personnel to develop the game.
