Futsal National Team Ready for AFCON Finals

The national futsal team has arrived in Rabat in preparation for the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place from October 12 to 21.

The players have undergone a short training camp in the capital, with 14 players called up by coach Nourredine Ben Ammar to participate in the AFCON.

The futsal team is in Group A alongside the host nation, Libya, and Zambia, while Group B includes Egypt, Angola, Mozambique, and Tanzania.

The "Greens" will begin their continental campaign on Monday against the host nation, starting at 20:00.

This will be followed by a match against Libya on Wednesday at 17:00, and then a clash with Zambia in the third and final group stage match at 20:00.

It is worth noting that this is the first time the futsal team has qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations, having eliminated Guinea in February. They won the first leg in Conakry 4-0 and followed up with a 7-1 victory in the return leg in Oran.
