The Egyptian Professional Clubs Committee has decided to move the match between Zamalek and ZED to the Arab Contractors Stadium, instead of the Cairo International Stadium, as part of the first round of the Cairo Capital Cup.
The match is scheduled to take place at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 7, after its time was adjusted and moved forward by 24 hours from the previously set date.
Zamalek is preparing to compete in the tournament during the break as part of the team's preparations for upcoming challenges. A responsible source at Cairo Stadium revealed that the stadium management did not refuse to host Zamalek's matches specifically in the Cairo Capital Cup, noting that the decision pertains to the tournament's matches in general due to the congested schedule of games currently hosted by the stadium.
The source explained, in exclusive statements to "Youm7," that Cairo Stadium's management has informed the Egyptian Clubs Association and the Football Association that it will not host matches for the Cairo Capital Cup due to the high volume of scheduled matches at the venue, whether in African competitions or in the Premier League.
