National Futsal Team Completes Preparations for Zambia Clash
The national futsal team finished its preparations today, Thursday, for the anticipated match against Zambia, scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, in the third and final round of the group stage at the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations.
Coach Ben Amrouche's squad aims to secure a victory in this match to enhance their chances of qualifying for the semifinals, following an unsuccessful start in the tournament. They suffered a 4-0 defeat to Morocco in the opening round and then drew 2-2 with Libya yesterday, Wednesday, in the second round.
The Algerian team currently has only one point, making it essential for them to win against Zambia while hoping for Libya to falter against Morocco in the match taking place at the same time, in order to secure a spot in the semifinals.
The match against Zambia holds significant importance for the national team, which has one last opportunity to correct its start in the tournament and finish the group stage in the best possible manner, hoping to continue its continental journey.
