National Futsal Team Exits Africa Cup after Semi-Final Loss
The Algerian national futsal team was eliminated from the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations after losing 3-2 to Angola on Monday.
Despite the efforts of the players led by Ahmed Takjrad during the match, they could not overcome the Angolan team, which secured its place in the final.
The national team's ambitions were to continue their journey in the continental tournament and reach the final, but the defeat to Angola dashed those hopes.
The national futsal team will play a third-place match on Wednesday (October 21), facing the loser of the second semi-final between the host nation and Egypt.
