Algeria National Team Falls Short Against Niger, Trailing at Halftime
The first half of the Algeria national team's friendly match against Niger ended with them trailing 1-0 at the Hussein Aït Ahmed Stadium, as the performance did not meet expectations from Ibrahim Hamdani's squad.
The "Greens" did not start the match as required and struggled to impose their style of play on their opponents, who capitalized on one of their opportunities to take the lead in the 13th minute through Ndri Konan, who dribbled past defender Belaid before firing a shot that goalkeeper Ramdan could not handle, resulting in a goal.
The national team sought to get back into the game, with the movements of Ibrahim Mazza and Amoura being the most notable attempts from the "Greens" during the first half, but the attacking line failed to convert opportunities into goals.
Things worsened with the injury of Ibrahim Mazza in the 40th minute, after he had been one of the most active players in the national team's lineup.
The "Greens" must deliver a different performance in the second half and correct the mistakes that appeared in the first half in order to overturn their deficit against Niger and finish the international break with a win.
