The referees' committee resolves the controversy surrounding the Zamalek vs. Petrojet match and confirms the correctness of Qallawi's decisions.

The Referees Committee of the Egyptian Football Association has endorsed the officiating decisions made during the match between Zamalek and Petrojet, which was officiated by referee Hamada El-Qalawy. They confirmed the correctness of not awarding a foul against Zamalek goalkeeper Mohamed Awad following his challenge with Petrojet's Ahmed Gaber.

The committee explained, during their video review of the officiating incidents related to the sixth and seventh rounds of the league, that Awad skillfully played the ball without any excessive movement of his hands, negating any claims of handball or grounds for his dismissal.

Endorsement of Referee Decisions in Zamalek vs. Petrojet Match

The committee also supported El-Qalawy's decision to retract the red card shown to Ibrahim Abbas of Petrojet after it was rescinded following his collision with Zamalek's Ahmed Sherif. Meanwhile, they chose not to review the analysis of the high-profile clash between Al Ahly and Zamalek in the sixth round, which was officiated by Slovenian referee Rade Obrenovic.

The evaluation included praise for several other decisions, notably confirming that there was no penalty for Modern Sport against Enppi, the correctness of the red card issued to Mohamed Abdel-Aaty of Wadi Degla against Ghazl El Mahalla, and the validation of Al Ahly's goal against Al Qana, as the ball fully crossed the goal line. The committee also upheld the decision to send off Khaled Satouhi after he fouled Al Ahly Bank striker Mustafa Shalaby.

On the other hand, the Referees Committee noted a critical observation regarding referee Amin Omar's decision during the Pyramids vs. Ceramica Cleopatra match, emphasizing that the red card issued to Ghanaian defender Justice Arthur of Ceramica was excessive, and a yellow card would have been more appropriate in that situation.
