Both teams entered the match having already secured qualification for the next stage with 6 points from two consecutive wins, with the UAE enjoying a goal difference advantage, as they only needed a draw to maintain the top spot, which they achieved.

Both teams made significant changes to their lineups compared to those that played in the previous two matches.

The UAE started the match strongly, controlling possession and building attacks, with Fabio Lima launching the first opportunity with a free-kick that was saved by Qatar's goalkeeper Mahmoud Abunada (12).

However, Qatar took the lead first with a cross from Jassim Jaber that was struck into the net by Almoez Ali against goalkeeper Hamad Al-Maqbali, who was making his debut in the tournament in place of Khalid Issa (32).

This goal was the first the UAE conceded after two matches without conceding.

The UAE quickly responded with a shot from defender Khalid Al-Zanahani after an individual effort, but his shot went wide of the post (38).

Qatar made a forced substitution with Abdulaziz Hatim coming on for the injured Mohammed Munai (41).

The UAE equalized when Al-Zanahani delivered a cross that was weakly headed away by Hatim, allowing Ali Saleh to slot the ball into the net past Abunada (45+4), marking the first goal conceded by "Al Annabi" in the tournament, just like their opponent.

Substitute Pala Guillerme came close to scoring the second for the UAE, but Abunada made a brilliant save to deny him (74).
