Tetrawi on the Bench with Lens in the Champions League
French coach Yannick Cahuzac has excluded Algerian international Yassine Tetrawi from the starting lineup for the match against Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon.
Lens hosts the Portuguese team this Tuesday evening in the second round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
The midfielder for the "Greens" will be a substitute, according to the lineup announced by the French club on their official account on X.
This decision to keep Tetrawi on the bench comes despite his starting role in the previous match in Ligue 1 against Olympique Lyon, which ended in a 2-1 victory for Lens last Friday.
Tetrawi missed the first round of the Champions League against Czech side Slavia Prague, and he continues to wait for his chance to fulfill his dream of playing in the Champions League, hoping to get an opportunity as a substitute against Sporting.
