Algerian runner Hamza Amari (number 142), representing the national team of Algeria, was penalized by the judging committee for leaving his racing lane, thus disrupting another competitor during a stage of the 2026 Tour du Faso.
The committee's decision imposes a fine of 100 Swiss francs (approximately 67,000 FCFA), a deduction of 64 points in the points classification, and a relegation to the last position in his group.
This penalty is applied under the competition rules, which govern the behavior of athletes during races.
