After 48 km of racing in the sixth stage of the 37th Tour du Faso, connecting Saponé to Léo, three riders broke away from the peloton. Burkinabé Paul Daumont and his compatriot Barthélemy Yaméogo, representing the Western Regional Team, are part of this leading group.
They are joined by Dutch rider Jannes Van Weele from the Universe Cycling Team. This breakaway allows Burkina Faso to have a double representation at the front of the race.
The three leaders:
1. Paul Daumont (Burkina Faso)
2. Barthélemy Yaméogo (Western Regional Team)
3. Jannes Van Weele (Universe Cycling Team – Netherlands).
