Hannibal Mejbri could be making a return to Birmingham City. The 23-year-old Tunisian midfielder is reportedly among the players of interest for the English club, especially with the potential arrival of John Murtough as the director of football.

The executive has a good understanding of Mejbri, having been involved in his transfer to Manchester United in 2019, before approving his loan to Birmingham for the 2022-2023 season. The Tunisian played 41 matches there and scored a memorable free-kick against West Bromwich Albion.

A return to Birmingham could be financially feasible for the club. However, this option remains hypothetical, especially since Mejbri is under contract with Burnley until 2028 and is still part of the club's plans.
