On Saturday, October 17, 2026, Zico Tumba, the head coach of the U15 national team of the Democratic Republic of Congo, officially announced his list of 14 players selected to participate in the inaugural FIFA U15 World Cup & Festival. During a press conference at the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa, Tumba introduced the young talents who will soon travel to represent their country at this global event scheduled from October 22 to 31 in Azerbaijan.
After a rigorous search and scouting process within various local academies and training centers (such as AC Ujana, RC Golf, Royaume du Ciel, and Les Aigles du Congo), the Congolese team presents a perfect balance at each position. The squad consists of 2 goalkeepers, 4 defenders, 4 midfielders, and 4 forwards, ready to proudly wear the national colors against the best teams in the world in their category.
This unprecedented international competition provides an exceptional showcase for Congolese youth sports and represents a major opportunity to highlight the quality of local training on the international stage.
