Pape Gueye, an African asset to watch
On Villarreal's side, Senegalese midfielder Pape Gueye will be one of the key players to observe. His ability to recover balls and support attacks could have a significant impact in this match. For Napoli, Massimiliano Allegri will need to find solutions to enable his team to respond after their first setback.
A competitive history
In their seven encounters, Villarreal has recorded three victories, compared to two for Napoli, while the two teams have drawn twice.
At the Cerámica, offensive efficiency and control of key moments could prove decisive in a clash where every point is already precious.
