The U20 team from Chad faces off against the U20 lions of Cameroon today in the tournament organized by the Central African Football Federations Union (Uniffac). This highly anticipated competition will also impact the qualifications for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations 2027, set to take place in Ghana.

The match will kick off at 1 PM, Yaoundé time, at the Olembe Stadium. The Cameroonian U20 team, highly motivated during their last training session yesterday, will take the field with great confidence. In addition to playing in front of their home crowd, the team led by Yvan Kenmoe has benefited from quality preparation.

On the other side, the Chadian team, returning to the tournament after several years of absence, will have to contend with the enthusiasm of the Cameroonian fans. However, the U20 Sao coach, Abakar Allamine Mahamat, has assured that his players are ready to take on the challenge. Facing a Cameroonian team that he respects and considers dynamic, the Chadian coach aims to do everything possible to secure a victory and continue pursuing qualification.

In the same group, the Central African Republic will face Chad on Thursday, October 15 at 1 PM, before taking on Cameroon on October 18. In the last edition, the Central African Republic's team reached the semi-finals.

Logically, Cameroon is viewed as the favorite in the group. The other qualifying spot is expected to be contested between Chad and the Central African Republic, with a slight advantage for the Central African team.

The competition, consisting of two groups of three teams each, will take place from October 12 to 24. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals scheduled for October 21. The two finalists, who will compete on October 24, will qualify for their category's Africa Cup of Nations.
