Zamalek awaits the Egyptian Football Association's requirements to listen to the VAR recordings from the Cairo Derby match.

Zamalek SC is awaiting a response from the Egyptian Football Association regarding their recent request to listen to the VAR recordings from the Super Match against Al Ahly, which took place in the sixth week of the league and ended with a 2-0 victory for the Reds.

There are certain rules that the Football Association is looking to implement to allow clubs to hear VAR recordings from league matches. Notably, the delegation from the club wishing to listen must consist of only two individuals: one from the coaching staff and the other from the management. Additionally, there will be a limited number of times each club can request to listen, while no fees for the listening session have been specified.

Zamalek: We will request a translator from the Slovenian Embassy to listen to VAR recordings from the Super Match

Maher Gharib, the media director at Zamalek, revealed the club's stance on listening to the VAR recordings during the Super Match against Al Ahly, confirming that they will notify the clubs' association to contact the Slovenian Embassy in Cairo if they need a translator.

Gharib stated in televised remarks, "Zamalek officials are awaiting a response from the Football Association regarding the complaint filed by the club against the referees' committee due to the Super Match."

He added, "We will take steps in sequence after the response. First, they must allow Zamalek to hear the VAR recordings, and we will adhere to the existing delegation, with all respect and appreciation, and we will not object."

Regarding the Slovenian translator, he said, "If we need a Slovenian translator, we will contact the association responsible for the tournament and ask them to communicate with the embassy to provide a translator."

Gharib concluded, "We are waiting for the Football Association's response to determine the size of Zamalek's delegation and the timing for listening to the video technology."
