Zed Club is considering filing a complaint against the referee of their match against Tanzanian side Azam in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup Round of 32, due to the officiating errors that occurred during the match, which the club believes affected the outcome and their chances of continuing in the continental tournament.
At the forefront of the issues Zed is basing its complaint on is the disallowance of a goal for the team in the final minutes of the match, citing a foul on Azam's goalkeeper, despite there being no contact between Zed players and the goalkeeper, according to the club's perspective, which sparked protests over the referee's decision.
Zed officials are working on preparing the complaint to clarify the officiating cases that were contested, amid the dissatisfaction stemming from the decisions witnessed during the match, particularly the disallowed goal in the dying moments, which could have impacted the match result and the team's journey in the tournament.
