Zergane a Candidate to Replace Modric at Milan

The management of Italian club AC Milan has included Algerian international Adam Zergane in its plans to replace Croatian star Luka Modric.

The Italian website “tuttomercatoweb” reported on Sunday that Milan's management has started evaluating its options early in preparation for the upcoming winter transfer window, scheduled for January, despite the new season still being in its early stages. This is in anticipation of potential changes in the team, including the search for a replacement for Luka Modric.

The same source clarified that the “Greens” player and Saint-Gilloise of Belgium is among the names being considered to succeed the Croatian star, who is expected to leave the team at the end of the season.

The Italian website praised Zergane, describing him as an “organized midfielder” who excels in building play and provides harmony and control over his team's movements. He has found the right environment at Saint-Gilloise to showcase his potential, demonstrating effectiveness in playmaking and key passes.

In a related context, “tuttomercatoweb” noted that the market value of the Algerian international is estimated at €12 million, but insiders in Belgian football assert that the value set by Saint-Gilloise could be several million euros higher.
