Arriving from PSV in the summer of 2025, Malik Tillman has yet to establish himself at Bayer Leverkusen.
Facing boos and jeers from his own supporters at the German club, he has garnered backing from his Moroccan rival, Bilal El Khannouss.
The Stuttgart forward was taken aback by the situation. After the match, cameras captured a conversation between the two in the tunnels, which was reported by the German press.
“They really booed you? Why?” inquired the Moroccan international. Tillman's response remained vague.
“The fact is that the midfielder has not lived up to expectations since his transfer from PSV in 2025 – a record move of around 35 million euros,” concluded RP.
El Khannouss himself experienced a similar predicament before joining Leverkusen. He did not part ways with Leicester City on good terms with the fans of the English club.
