The coaching staff for Senegal's Lions of Teranga is being assembled. As they begin preparations for the qualifiers of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, the new head coach has revealed the names of his assistants. Patrick Vieira will be joined in his role by Mickaël Marsiglia and Issa Aidara.

Marsiglia has been in the coaching profession for several years. A former midfielder, this French strategist is known for his analytical skills and tactical acumen. He has managed AS Cannes and has worked with OGC Nice in scouting and recruitment roles.

In the role of second assistant, the Senegalese Football Federation has entrusted Seydina Issa Aidara. The Senegalese coach honed his skills with FC Diambars over a span of 13 years, serving as assistant coach for the U23 and U17 teams.

With their complementary backgrounds, Marsiglia and Aidara are set to provide insightful analyses regarding the selection of players both in Europe and those based locally. This synergy should enhance the cohesion between expatriates and home-based players.
