Senegal played to a draw against France on Sunday at Clairefontaine. The Young Lions and the Bleuets are gearing up for the U17 World Cup set to take place next month in Qatar.
The two teams faced each other on Friday, where France emerged victorious with a score of 3-1. For this second encounter, Ludovic Lamine Sané made several adjustments to his starting lineup. Assane Sarr, Bosse Ndoye, Mouhamed Wagne, and Mamour Cissé were moved to the bench. Cheikh Oumar Sy, Stéphane Boin, and El Hadji Aboubacar Doucouré were given the chance to start and gain valuable minutes.
These alterations appeared to pay off. The Senegalese Young Lions took the lead in the 20th minute, with a goal scored by Sega Fall Mbodji. France pressed hard and managed to equalize just before halftime. The second half was filled with excitement, showcasing chances for both sides, but neither could find the net again.
