Re-elected for a new four-year term as head of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF), Yacine Idriss Diallo shared his thoughts on the stance of the 54 African football federations regarding FIFA.

The FIF president stated that the African federations have clearly expressed their views and support the global body's initiatives for the development of football in Africa.

"As far as I'm concerned, I am an African, and the African federations have made their position known. We declare our support for FIFA in all its structural initiatives that benefit Africa. The challenges faced in Africa are not the same as those in Europe, Asia, or America. However, we are aware of our own challenges, and FIFA has provided us with assistance. In our African culture, recognition is a core value."

This statement follows Idriss Diallo's re-election as president of the FIF, while the positioning of the African federations in relation to FIFA remains a current topic.
