Lando Norris's achievement of pole position for the Spanish Grand Prix has garnered significant acclaim from Formula 1 enthusiasts, with his performance described as "sensational".

The McLaren racer clinched the top spot on the grid for Sunday’s race at the Madring circuit, edging out Mercedes' championship frontrunner Kimi Antonelli by a mere 0.011 seconds. Red Bull's Max Verstappen took third place.

Norris's performance was largely unforeseen by those in the paddock. He was unable to participate in most of the second free practice session due to a gearbox problem, hindering his preparation for qualifying on the newly unveiled circuit.
