The first half of the UEFA Champions League match between Fenerbahçe and AS Roma ended with a score of 0-1 in favor of the Roman team.
With the support of a passionate crowd at Chobani Stadyumu, Fenerbahçe attempted to take control of the game right from the kickoff of this Champions League fixture.
The Istanbul players showed initiative on the field, but AS Roma's defense, led by goalkeeper Mile Svilar, was alert to contain the early threats.
As the first half progressed, AS Roma managed the pressure and chose their moment to strike. In the 39th minute, the match took a turn: Bryan Cristante capitalized on a slight lapse in concentration from the Istanbul goalkeeper to give his team the lead.
Realistic and tactically disciplined, the Romans headed into the locker room with a 1-0 advantage at halftime. Fenerbahçe will need to be more effective in attack during the second half to hope to turn the situation around in front of their supporters.
